This is the thread for any new pictures coming from Rick & Roger at Superstition Iris Gardens. I already started a thread for their 2016 Introductions which they will be presenting starting in January. So any 2016 Intro pictures will be on that thread. This tread is for pictures they post of other irises they have throughout the year. Only new pic's as I will not post repeats.

The yellow 'light rays' going into the dark do seem to light up a garden. I cant wait to see some of the SDB's you will be posting here Greg. smiles I wonder how this iris got its name. Does not really apply to it.

What is interesting is that we don't have any pictures of the two parents for "Art Colony". So I asked Rick & Roger if they could get Walter to possibly provide pictures of these two. They had grown both in the past so they sent their pictures!
So; take "Sun Ada Beach" and cross it with "Gypsy Glitter" and get "Art Colony"
There's a case where the cross produced better than both parents. That, in my opinion, should be the criteria for introducing a new cultivar. This one blows my mind -- where did that wide, intense purple band come from?
