Thanks for the kind words. I didn't take as many photos this year as I did last so I was scrambling to find things to fit into the categories.

I liked the crop and the focus on this one so I submitted it. I'm pretty fond of these little guys in the rocks.

I liked this one, but I liked the big job even more! I hope when these grow a bit, there's another photo to show.

It's a great shot of a struggling little guy that I failed to tend properly *Blush*
a bunch of them rolled off the rock because it's kinda inhospitable...but they're tough, we have survivors and hope to have another photo to show

Yes, it was the inhospitable rock that really got my attention. Sort of reminded me of Incan culture prisons carved into sheer cliffs. If they manage to establish, that rock is going to really cool. I'm trying some on a rock and they were doing pretty well. Then I got a puppy and...well, they are doing pretty well again, some of them.

This is the chunk of rock on which he lives (for context):

Incan prison culture!

That was way early spring after a rough dry winter on the cliff...somewhere I do have a pic where they actually have plumped up and look alive but I don't know where that is

Plant looks fairly comfortable where situated.

Just an aside to evermorelawnless, whenever I see your name I read it as evermorelawless.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................

not quite sure what to do with this comment ;)

Dr. Freud might be inclined to say that, "sometimes a lawn is just a lawn." (Or cue Mr. Shakespeare here to do some methinking about protestations...)

Or in my case sometimes sometimes what was a lawn is no longer a lawn.

The truth is, though, your reading might be just as appropriate Whistling Whistling Whistling
