Beautiful pic! We visited Butchart Gardens on our honeymoon over 50 years ago. It was very lovely then, and I'd love to see it again. That time we didn't have nearly enough time to spend. I think we were there about 4 hours.

Thank you for posting this photo, Eric. I thought immediately of Butchart Gardens, which I had visited twice in the 1980's.
It was such a wonderful garden to feel at home in. Lovely intimate settings, and then grand vistas to delight the eye.
I must go again, soon. Thumbs up Thanks for posting this and thanks for everyone's interesting comments!
It would be interesting to know what season people found the most interesting. Rolling my eyes.

I don't know what other seasons are like, but we were very impressed with our mid-September visit.

@Eric4home - Hello Ric, Sorry to have misnamed you in the previous post.
My mistake. Crying These things happen.
I enjoyed looking through the photos that you had submitted for the 2015 All Things Plants Photo Contest.
The Aquilegia photos interested me, because I have similar older ones, and the beautiful Mossy, Ferny grotto.
There was one with huge evergreens, a twisty willow, Canna Lilies and bedding plants that looked marvelous. Where would that one be from? And the ferny, mossy Grotto?
Hope you don't mind my asking. Whistling
Cheers, HemNorth, or Nora.

Thanks for the tip about going in the autumn. Sounds good! Thumbs up

I was also thinking of a Spring Fling visit. February in Castlegar can be snowy and cold, with just Snowdrops and Hellebore niger to break through the snow. I'm sure it would be a different story at Butchart Gardens. Smiling

For most of us, any season would be perfect for a visit there! We are hoping to get back there soon.
