It does very well in my garden. Opens well, is pod and pollen fertile, and shows minimal slicking in full sun. My only complaint is its height - I wish it were taller, but only because I have arthritis of the spine. It is a lovely daylily.

Open my Eyes is a great performer in zone 6b South Central Kentucky. I have divided it twice in 4 years, it is a fast grower. I do not know if it is pod and pollen fertile yet but only because I have not used it. I love it and as soon as I decide what would be a good cross I hope to use it. It is a good bloomer and very hardy here, a keeper for sure.

bloomed in the foliage-too short

frumpy looking but that is my opinion --if you are into frilly edges and all that , this is a nice one, it does have the prominent dark edging around it, almost heavy enough to say it is a border or a band of color, not just an edge. It also did not open well for me. I gave it away. It did have nice thick substance to the petals.

This picture is the only one I have of this flower. Although it is a little blurry, one can see the color. I planted it late in August and this was the only bloom. I am excited about this one as I am partial to eyed daylilies so I will see next year how well it does in my zone. I am hoping first that it thrives and second, that it keeps the cream color instead of the yellowish of other pictures from other growers.
FOUR YEARS later: This is an evergreen which is not meant for my area. {Some evergreens are}. It has been growing here for 4 years and has increased to about 10 fans. It is planted in the most protected area of my garden and mulched in the winter but still I got only 2 scapes this year, 18" high and bud count of 4 on 2 way branching. The bloom is really pretty but the plant is going.

I wonder if that cream color happens as the day wears on and the initial yellow bloom color fades? It is a beautiful cultivar!
