Something goofy happened when my husband detached me from hard-line ethernet cable back to my wireless adaptor. I couldn't tell you exactly what happened, but I didn't click the 'post' button a second time, that much I know.

Those firespikes sure are huge Becky. I know what you mean about people thinking your garden is kind of weird. I once had a lady walk by with a friend and I heard her tell the friend that I should be reported for not cutting my grass in my backyard. If she would have bothered to look a little closer, she would have seen that it wasn't grass but daylilies. They were not in bloom at the time and I guess she though they were tall grass.

I was at a daylily garden once and made small talk with a couple of ladies while I was waiting to have my total bill tallied. The second lady was there as moral support for her friend and said something about not getting any daylilies because the flowers don't last long...and I made the comment how I actually love that when they aren't in bloom, daylilies sort of look like a fancy grass. I don't know if that inspired her to take a new look at daylilies and go back into the field to get a few for herself, but I like to think it got the gears turning in a slightly different direction so that she could see daylilies in a bit of a different light.

You can tell a TRUE gardener by their words ....

The phrase I hear over and over again by others is about my crazy garden ....

"Oh my! Isn't that a LOT to take care of!"

True, but a real gardener wouldn't say anything or would say that the garden must help keep you fit in a delightful way!

Will this take place at any time in the future? Or has everyone gone over to the Lily Auction?

I never join with daylily seeds. I figure taking so long to bloom they were not something that would appeal. Im looking to give all mine away. Hate to throw them away. All did come from LA.
