Great topic folks. There is one thing not mentioned. Is the material used flammable? Should say on the package or do your own flammable experiment. If it catches fire easily, then obviously do not put it near your light fixtures.

I placed a butane lighter near it and no effect. If I put it directly in the flame, it did burn. Above the fixtures where I have it, I can hold my hand for quite a while.
