Just signed up for the 2016 APS Convention and was wondering if anyone else was going. I'm taking a group--my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and daughter as well. Would love to meet any of you in person if you plan to attend! And I'll certainly be posting pics afterward!

I finally saw that hybridizing class Solaris is holding, Tracey. I'm not sure I'll be in early enough to take advantage of that one but I'm going to try!

I went to the one they did last year at Hidden Springs. It was well done by the presenters. Anyone who has an interest in peony hybridizing, well this kind of information can't be found anywhere else, at least not that I am aware of.

I'm planning to participate in every event open to non-board members, Tracey. If you're there for the opening picnic or the tour the next day hopefully I'll meet you!

You sure will. It will be great to put a name with a face. The best peony lists are made at APS Shows; I am convinced.

You're right, Tracey. Most times the pictures displayed by the big peony sellers are enough to convince you that you NNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDD!!! that new peony, sometimes the pics are kinda blah. Sometimes the pics are nice but not nice enough to justify buying a really expensive root. When you see and smell an absolutely perfect example of that peony though--game changer!! I came home after my first APS convention and immediately ordered Sonoma Halo and Pastelegance. I don't know if there are many out there that would top those! There are some expensive ones on my "Wanted" list already--some that if I see them offered I'll burn a hole in a card to buy them, hoping that list doesn't increase dramatically after this trip! If anyone is selling Pastelorama, Sunny Boy or Sonoma Yedo I'll be trying to figure out a way to bring them home in my suitcase, though!
