Lol bet. I like the rambling among my own kind. Smiling Today we expect snow so I went to the store. I told my daughter it's bad when you buy food because of the container. I have much more to winter sow. Lovey dubby

I always consider the container when buying food. Always buy plain yogurt in the big tubs - when they are clean I drill holes and use these to give away plants at our local swap.

Buying Luigi's Lemon Ice gives me small, flexible plastic cups which are idea when cleaning and packing seeds. The plastic flexes enough that I can pour the cleaned seeds into the small plastic bags without spilling any - no funnel needed. Oh, and I discovered that the clear plastic lid from Pringles fits snugly on the Luigi's container which is perfect for larger quantities of seed.

(I'll go back to lurking now...) *Blush*

@SideCar, you may be surprised to find that there are other gardeners in your small town. I would start by asking around at the nearest extension office or chamber of commerce, if you have one, about local gardening clubs or events. I remember a few years ago hearing about a local plant swap, but I wasn't into gardening then and the timing of the event was bad for me. But recently, I was surprised and pleased to find that someone was trying to reach out to other gardeners here, by setting up a small table near the door with a storage bin. Inside the bin were free seeds. I took a few (there is a limit of 3) along with some empty coin envies (supplied) to share some of my excess seeds. I need to go by there soon to show my support. Hopefully one day we will get to meet one another. nodding
