LOL, I am going to have to knit like crazy and see what happens. The FB Charge really does vibrate and show fireworks on the screen if you hit the magic number. Because of some broken bones in my foot I cannot walk steadily on the treadmill at the gym but I can ride the recumbent elliptical for miles. Sadly that never shows up as steps on my device.

Thanks Gigi! Smiling
Those gadgets don't recognize my rowing either, but the rotations doing Hula hoop ( I have one of those 3 pound hoops) are counted.

Guess I got lucky, my brother gave us a stationary bicycle with handles that also move (sort of a cross-country skiing action) and it does register as steps on the FitBit.

Alice, my new one (that I have not set up yet . . another job for today) is a "charge HR" too. I originally had the bottom of the line one, the Flex and all it did was flash lights a little bit. I only reached the 10,000 step goal a few times in the 8 months that I had it, so hardly ever saw the 'smiling' lights.

Good idea Lindsey!

Elaine, the recumbent elliptical I use is called "Occtane" and it has the arm thingies that go back and forth also. They don't seem to register on the Charge HR though. I may try to attach it to my ankle, maybe with an ace bandage or something like that because I don't think the band would go around.

How did we get along without these electronic gadgets????

Absolutely. Now I sit in front of my computer instead . . . technology at work?

Still it keeps us using new neural pathways - brain stimulus is always a good thing as we get older . . . Rolling my eyes.
