This station tends to forecast a smidgen lower than others, but the one I usually check isn't updated. For this time of year, I won't quibble with a degree or two even if it means my flowers go away. It isn't pipe-freezing cold, which I worry about, so I will take this forecast and be happy about it.
I am already ahead having blooms this far into Winter.
Sister took me to breakfast this morning (oooh,
BAYYYY-con!), then I piddled around outside for awhile. Assessing how much weedy grass is left to pull, what Iris can be dug up and rehomed (because I HAVE to make room for incoming), what I need to do to clear saplings and vines from the back corner by the garage, and whether or not I really
need all the crap piled on the worktable under the carport. You know, stuff like swizzle sticks. "Hey, plant stakes." And paint stirrers. "Hey..." Well, I don't know what I was thinking on those, but you get the idea. Tomorrow's project might just be ruthlessly clearing it off.
Last bloom on the Lest We Forget stalk. // NOID Dianthus
Pink Attraction. VERY short stalk, but if it can hang on long enough for the bloom to open, who cares?
Orange Harvest. Don't think that bud will open; however, I HAVE been surprised before.
Look at that crazy-color orange beard.
