Love seeing photos of everyone's gardens when they are just getting started. Dwarf Iris and columbines are the stars out front in mine.

It is finally starting to look a lot like spring!

I was thrilled to see that almost all the epimediums I got last year for my epimedium walk seem to have made it. They were small starter plants buta few of the 20+ look like they will bloom this spring. This one is 'Koji'

The polemoniums are blooming now too. This one is 'Touch of Class'

I'll try to get photos of the epimedium walk sometime today or tomorrow. Right now it doesn't look like much. Twenty or so starter plants doesn't make any kind of impact on a walk that length Big Grin The plan is to make a collection of as many different cultivars as I can find and make that the focus of the walk that cuts through the woods from the circle driveway to the pond.

Terri, that sounds just beautiful. I found Epies grow and spread nicely. It wont be long before your vision is real.
What are some of your varieties.

It sounds beautiful. There are some super nice cultivars on the market these days with bigger flowers and interesting foliage.

I listed the epimediums in my Plant Lists in the category Epimedium Walk. I ordered all of them from Garden Visions and wanted to see if they made it through the winter before I put in another order. Seeing that they fared pretty well I can easily order another 20 or 30 more LOL. They offer so many.

Look at all the photo opportunities you have to make Acorn Lots of plants with not pictures, means 2 acorns each.

This is going to be really beautiful.

I will take photos as each of these epimediums blooms to add to the plant db - probably only a few this year, but by next year the rest should bloom Smiling

Ok, I warned you it wasn't much to look at yet with just the starter plants, but here is my epimedium walk in its infancy. I started with epimediums down the right hand side.

Thanks! I always feel like I should wait to take pictures until it looks like something, but then I remind myself that it is good to see pictures of how a garden evolves over time. I like the signs for naming different garden areas. I have four that are the same style/color - Daffodil Trail, Turtle Garden, Fern Bank, and Epimedium Walk. I will probably add more over time, just hope they continue to manufacture the same kind.

I have named areas but no signage. Named areas just help me keep track of what is where.
