It has been raining all day and so far I haven't covered any of my garlic with oak leaves. That will change tomorrow. The temperature is supposed to drop all day Sunday and never get out of the 30's. The predicted low for Monday morning...................17F! Sticking tongue out The following four mornings are supposed to be in the mid-20's. I will be piling oak leaves over the garlic tomorrow.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

Thanks for the advice. I'm growing creole garlic and had some leaves over them but looks like I need to replace. This is my first time growing garlic and I'm so excited.

That chore is done. I have a 4-6" layer of oak leaves over the entire garden. I really don't know whether the leaves are necessary. I have simply done this for the last five years and I have plenty of oak leaves each fall/winter.
