Hellebores, anyone?

My hellebores have really short stems and are downward facing. It just cheers me to see them in the garden when nothing else is up.

My hellebores face downwards too - but this particular variety has long enough stems for cutting. They drop a lot of seeds, but all the little seedlings take a long time to mature. I bought a whitish one that has much shorter stems.
