Ibis, how nice that we live close.
I did a little research and didn't really come up with any answers on the color of the Cordylines. I did find this about fertilizer, I've never really fertilized mine. I do notce mine have better color in the spring and get more green as we warm up and get more rain. I really don't give mine a whole lot of attention, they get irrigation twice a week and rain. One gets filtered sun and has more color, the other is totally shade. The red sisters are in half sun.

Alice, sorry about the loss of your fur child, so hard on the heart. We rescued a Golden Doodle a couple years ago, she was ten months old and the sweetest dog ever. She had three homes her first ten months because, basically she got too BIG. She is very smart and loves people, maybe too much. Before her we had a German Shepherd for over thirteen years, I never thought I could love a dog as much as her, but this doodle is just awesome.
