First I do not do the conversions myself I have one of the big guys in Florida do them for me. When you try to convert a dip chemically and it does not convert 100% it may have a certain % of tet pollen that will set seed if used enough. After a year or so if may return to a full dip. Working with these things can be frustrating but it's all part of it.

Fred those are beautiful. Hope they do very very well for you. Love the teeth on JLM X LJB. Yummy.

Tink I am still hanging in there to win those seeds on the LA. Love the crosses you made. You have good taste but we already knew that. Big Grin

Fred I am curios how much is costs to get a conversion done. I have 2 I am really looking at that I think would add so much to tets.

Steph I looked and saw all the other crosses of others you are bidding on. You should get some really nice seedlings out of those as well.

Fred they are all super gorgeous. Gotta love that HAPPY HAPPY and what it throws to the seedlings. I take it that LJB throws the teeth. I believe James Hall said he has a toothy seedling from LJB as well. I only made one cross with it for some reason. Maybe I'll get something nice from it!!! But of course there's next year plus I'll have LILLIAN'S FIRST BITE to work with.

The person who does my conversions doesn't charge me anything because I buy a lot of daylilies from him every year, plus he keeps some for himself and normally will get to use it before I do.

LJB is where the teeth are coming from and James may have a toothie seedling from it. He had a clump of First Bite but I got it and lined it out. I have him some potted to give back to him. I do love Happy Happy seedlings, even the not so good ones are better than a lot of things on the market.
