It is a beautiful plant and must be magnificent when it blooms. Speaking of Saguaros, we are heading towards May which is prime Saguaro bloom time. Thumbs up I should be able to get out and about and get some really nice photos to post for us all.

An interesting comment on the cactus I posted..Nakana
Which Stenocerus of the 20 varieties were you considering?
You got me looking at Stenocerus as a possible name for this monster.
I do not know how big it will grow because the owner keeps pruning the tall
branches off. I think he is worried about the utility lines.
Research shows me that the etymology for Stenocerus is "narrow cerus"
and these ribs are anything but narrow.
Also the Stenocerus flowers tend to have a red coloration on the exterior of the bud.
And Stenocerus flowers are mostly clustered near the apex of the branches.
These flower buds are green on the outside and are all over the branch.
So I think the original suggestion might be correct. Cardon.
Next time I drive by it I will count the ribs.
