Some things are meant to be shared, and some things are best enjoyed alone. Of course, those "things" are different for each of us! In your house, which team are you: Team Garden Together, or Team Enjoyed Alone?

Lexie and I are out digging in the dirt together. She loves to get up close and personal with a freshly dug hole. She loves the smell of compost and manure. So funny watching her nose go high in the air when she's getting a good whiff Whistling ! We plan the garden together. There needs to be a pathway where she can run and traipse without disturbing my plantings Thumbs up . Sometimes she misses during an anxious moment but generally she's good Angel . I hear that some dogs like to eat fresh tomatoes straight off the vine. She hasn't shown a tendency to this habit ( Smiling ) Our winter rye lawn will be seeded in early October. This will be a real test... that I truly believe she will fail Angry ... but try we must! Sad

I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.

I guess we are Team Together. He has taken over the lawn mowing and this year the veggie garden. And since we got the honey bees he brings me plants he finds blooming on our property or his boss's to see if they are a honey bee plant and if they are goes back and gets a start, cutting or seeds. He also gets the manure from one of our friends stable (I'd help load that too but the guys use that time to visit) I do all the digging and flower planting but since he fussed once too often about mowing around shrubs he now gets to plant all of those and does a great job of placing them to not only look good but easy to mow around.
I used to do it all myself including the mowing. Isn't it amazing what honey bees will do for a guy Rolling on the floor laughing
