From what I gather, you can make your own seed tape using paper toweling and (I think) sugar syrup as glue. I suppose egg white would work as glue too. Since I am congenitally unable to plant anything in a straight line, this might be something I should look into.

Annie,..i never thought of making the tape myself but its something to remember I tip my hat to you.

There are times i didn't lay down two sticks and a line of twine to help make a straight line,..looking at the completed job where i presumed i could make a straight line of seeds,..oh Boy,..did i wave about right and left Whistling

I used to take such pains with trying to get my onion sets planted in straight lines. Then the birds would settle in and yank them out of the ground and I'd end up just pushing them in any where.

In the end i had to place planks of wood on each side of the area where seeds were sown,..then i had flat frames with Chicken Wire placed on top,..that solved all my problems when the seedlings and afterwards the veg like Carrots Beetroot Parsnips were maturing.
