Trying to get used to my new camera,..getting there,..the zoom is X18 but most of the birds are way beyond that distance,..just today and across the far side of my road there is a Magpie's nest,..come Spring every year they rebuild the nest though they tend to wait until around the 22nd of March which is the official start of Spring,..lo and behold they started working on the nest today as this is our 3rd day into our Traditional start to Spring,..nice to see Traditional Springtime Keeping Magpies
Below that tree i spotted a Bullfinch,..still too far to get a close up

Ann, I'll go along with Hairy Woodpecker. From my bird book, I really couldn't tell the difference
