I bought this plant which was labeled to be a Canary Island Sage.
I checked the database and it doesn't match any of the canary island sage photos. Here is the plant.
Can any of you tell me what this plant is?

It seems the wrong label ended up in the pot.
The leaves and stems are hairy. Does it have a scent when you rub the leaves?
Mentha suaveolens is possible .. check to see if the leaves are downy underneath.

some type of mint, if it is-very invasive, plant in a pot until you know for sure what it's behavior is. Are the stems square, does is smell when you rub the leaves ?

I think you're right. It probably is the mentha suaveolens. It was sitting right by the other mints at the nursery.

So glad our Super Sleuth identifier Janet saw this. It does look like
Apple Mint (
Mentha suaveolens
)

I found some other apple mint, and compared them. It was the correct ID, so thank you!

It looks like you put an Apple Mint photo in the database yesterday. That seems to marry up.

Yes, and I had so many plants that it slipped right by me when I saw the supposed Canary island sage!
