Hello. My puppy tore off new leaves and buds from grape cutting while I was preparing it's new soil spot. Question is if it will still grow new buds in another area. Looks to be he did a good job ripping off every new sprout possible. Is this plant hopeless now or should I plant it anyways and hope new sprouts come from some random spot? Thanks in advance!

I would plant it. You have nothing to lose. Itwill probably be fine. It is early in the season, so the cutting has time to recover. Good luck and welcome to ATP!

Adding: You may want to dip the end of the cutting in a little Rootone or cinnamon to give it a little help.

I agree with Daisy -- I would go ahead and plant it; my grape vines (which are just a few years old) have died back to the ground the past two winters and still managed to spring back. I'm hoping this year (which has been much milder for us) will help them finally get a good start!
