Lower temperatures, and several good rainfalls does wonders for the plants. I swear my Malva Zebrina has multiplied since the weekend! Same for the marigolds, roses, and Coreopsis Zagreb. Yesterday or this morning, I spied a bloom on the Dr. Ruppel Clematis. Could it be all of the above that has bought about these changes. I saw a slug on the siding tonight but it was almost dark and I couldn't get to him to kill him or knock him off. Guess he'll have a feast on my plants tonight. I thought about trying to drown him with a jet spray of water from the hose, but didn't know if that would work only temporary.
