Oh Dirt, you just inspire and amaze me with your banners. I am awed by your talent. I'm trying to learn to do these, but by the time I get down to the right dimensions, a nice photo is just, well, an okay banner. This is a wonderful photo and banner. Again, well done and I tip my hat to you.

oh gosh *Blush*
Thank you
This photo was pitiful--grass and weeds in the foreground, the street and the neighbor's fence/house in the background--all I could do with it was to chop out the middle for a banner and toss the rest Shrug! point is, it doesn't have to be a great picture, just a slice
Maybe you're over-thinking it Sean? I just look thru the mail slot

What I'm thinking is that you are simply Queen of this Mountain. Meanwhile, I will hold onto the lower pitons and learn from you...yet I'll strive to climb. Meanwhile, when you seen one you think is, well, meh, you'll know it's mine on that tier below looking up. That said, I'll also up the pixels on the original photo enough to reduce it to such brilliance as those of yours. You rock.

Hello Dirt, have you added the pic to the multiplant data? I would love to recognize what each of the plants are! The banner is particularly beautiful and surprisingly portrays what we naturally do when we watch a border...the rest of the background, and heights are blurred from attention. Congratulations. Thank You!

Oh Dirt, I didn't even have to look -- I knew it was your banner. I tip my hat to you.

Maybe someday I'll get a better pic for the multi-plant page...
for Arturo and any other inquiring minds,
hmm, let's see...
L to R
The daisy is

with Creeping Baby's Breath (Gypsophila repens 'Rosea')
and some bulb foliage and Creeping Thyme (Thymus serpyllum)
There is a white chrysanthemum behind and salvia nemorosa barely visible
The spruce is Blue Spruce (Picea pungens 'Glauca Globosa') and I see we don't have an image of that one in the database so I should really do something about that soon
Then the sweetest little pink geranium Geranium (Geranium dalmaticum)

and verbena
with Partridge Feather (Tanacetum densum)

Thank you so much Dirt! yes, I have an inquisitive mind and personality...curiosity is such a great drive...and after all isn't it that that keeps each of us doing all that is done in a garden?. Somehow when I see a wonderful pic like yours I'm instantly transported ( in spirit I would say) inside the image straight into the place and imagine myself wandering and stopping over each plant, thanking them for the beauty they provide us, as if I was given a short opportunity for a stop over visit into the garden. Then curiosity assaults me...I like to be introduced to each person... in this case as if they are plant persons..with their individual names. They become familiar and then ( always in spirit) they come closer. Thank You! for the trouble explaining your details to me!
