To get an idea of ground temperatures, bury the remote sensor of a thermometer.

I have a wireless temp in my greenhouse, but it never occurred to me to bury one. Great idea!
Actually, I have a wireless temp sensor on the north, south, east and west sides of my house.
And, in the greenhouse.
Now, I will bury one. But where?

And his children Are his flowers ..
Or in the veggie garden, or the beds where I plant all our Alocasias.

Even better, vacuum seal it before burying it!

What a great idea! Thanks!
Ambitious compost-makers could bury one in their current pile and really know what's going on under the hood.
Just because it ISN'T complicated doesn't mean I can't MAKE it complicated!

Thank you for all your kind comments and acorns.
I like the idea of placing one in the composter.
