Hello,
It has been a long winter for me but it is now March! Hooray!
It is time to be thinking about adding to our gardens again. I am just curious what websites are you using the most? Wishing you a grand Spring.

My Top three are 1) Homestead Farms Nursery (MO) - quality plants, reasonable prices, good selection, and good communication by Ron when you have a question. Always ships fast; plants well prepared and arrive in primo condition! 2) Oakes Daylilies: This was my original nursery and though over the years I've found other nurseries offering the same cultivars I want at a lower prices. That said, they always have healthy, multi-fan plants and also supply a bonus plant on all orders. I can pretty well expect Oakes' plants shipped early-mid season to bloom the first year. I started using the Daylily Auction site this year where there are some good finds and great prices. The people are very helpful and have now directed me to 'Oak Hill Daylililes and give it outstanding remarks as to plowner. Looking through their website I found 'Strawberry Fields Forever" which I've been trying to find at a reasonable price ($8 for a DF vs $14-$16 range at other nurseries. I've also ordered from a coupe of other reputable nurseries that have been difficult to find. Right now I'm probably up to about 50+ on order to fin

Thanks for the input. I haven't been on the LA this year
. I have been looking and checking prices of how things are going.
I also like to order from the hybridizer sometimes. I purchased several spidery ones from Dan Bachman last Fall.

Frilly, several Daylily sites are on FB now. Rolling my eyes.

I use the LA, but I also like to purchase directly from suppliers. The ATP Green Pages are a great way to start when you are looking for acquisitions.

I still like to visit gardens as much as possible and when I can't find go to the web. Have several sites that I use. It curbs me purchasing more flowers than I can handle.

I use the LA and the hybridizer's websites for my purchases. Not a member of Facebook for privacy reasons, so can't comment on what's going on there.

When I buy daylilies I use:

The Lily Auction
Hybridizer's websites
Daylily resellers websites

The source I use will depend on availability of the plant I'm looking for, with priorities given to price and reputation of the seller.

Facebook? What's that?

Frilly, when you go to FB just type in Daylily and several pages will come up. I also enjoy looking at the Daylily Pictures. It helped get thru the dreary winter months :)

Liz, I also love visiting regional gardens to see what looks best for my area.

I use the LA and hybridizers websites as well as other daylily sellers/growers websites. I do NOT use Facebook at all for much of anything. I've had my privacy information accessed when I didn't want it to, so prefer not to use FB anymore because of that. I don't add much personal info on FB either for that reason and rarely use my FB account. I wished there were daylily gardeners near me to visit, but no one grows daylilies here that I am aware of. There was a daylily club here in the 1990s, but I think when rust hit in the early 2000s, the club ceased. One of these days, I hope to make a trip to the Florida Mecca to see all the AHS daylily gardens.

Yes, to be sure. The sarcasm must have been overpowered by my disdain for FB. (Should have tossed an emoticon in there)

I am currently taking inventory of what clumps I want to divide. This week I have been working on getting my beds cleaned. I am so glad that it is finally warming up and Spring is just around the corner!!

I have decided to list some of my older ones here on ATPs and then perhaps my newer plants on the Lily Auction. I like having the extra income to use on truckloads of mulch/western mix and maybe a few new plants

It was late, but I did get some plants listed in the Classifieds. Here is a link:

I like buying from the LA but have had a few unhappy experiences so I stick with sellers I know.
I also like buying from members here as prices seem to be good and I am helping another daylilaholic feed their addiction Sticking tongue out
I also buy from local club members and my daylily club to support it.
occasionally I buy directly from a hybridizer (expensive but you are getting exactly what you want)
lastly, I buy from the northern Mecca gardens when I tour them.

*Blush* Ok, now that I typed it out, I buy from EVERYONE! Rolling on the floor laughing
(That is why it is time to thin out my gardens)
