Just a few pots I painted this weekend. I used some designs from a Dover Publication bird stencil book.
The pictures don't do the colors justice. They are almost florescent.
I sealed them inside and out with an outdoor waterproofer product.

I didn't even stencil them. I copied the pic on my printer and then transferred it to the pot via carbon paper. Then I just used acrylic paints and sealed them. I've used acrylics in the garden before and it holds up as good as anything else. The main thing is to seal well so that water can't get behind the paint and make it peel off. Thanks for the compliments. I don't usually hang out indoors and paint, this was a "sick day" project.

Love them. Perfectly sized and like that you settled them at the bottom and not floating mid pot.

These are pretty big pots. I'm using them for some epi cactus that have outgrown their pots.
The bird designs are like 7" across, the little birds are about the size of a 5" bird.
I planted them today and they look nice in the garden.

Beautiful pots Dee

Thanks for the kudos. I don't paint often. I enjoy "constucting" things and working with cement in particular. I'll be sharing my latest insane cement pot/sculpture soon. I think I'll take pics as I construct it. It's based on this fairy castle I made. The fairy castle is about two foot tall, the new succulent sculpture is five foot tall.
Here's some pics of the Fairy Castle, the succulents are growing in nicely. But they are mini succulents, the fairies are only 2" tall.
