Alice, that is interesting! I remember that the only seedlings I lost right in the beginning were a couple of the skinny, tall ones too.
I need to take pictures again, mine woke up now that it is Spring and have started growing again. Most of them had shriveled leaf tips over the Winter, but I figure those older leaves will drop anyway soon.
I was prepared to put all of mine outside next week. It looks like Monday AM will be the last day we'll have temperatures in low-40's. Perhaps I will only move half of them out and leave the other half in the solarium/opp. I would hate to lose them all. All mine are sort of skinny, at least when compared to those huge caudices I see pictured.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
RCanada said:Which ones are these smaller ones Kadie? The one in the middle ( teal green pot) is an interesting shape. The two larger ones are gorgeous. I love their caudex's and the way the look in those Panterra bowls.

Rick, all of them are A. obesum. The picture was taken last November. I had recently up-potted the large ones into 10" bulb pots so the roots could have more room to breathe.
