Hi Annie,

Yep! I love to watch the geese as they fly over. A good sign that spring is definitely coming. Haven't seen any robins, yet.

Nothing blooming here yet, but daffodil tips are up. This weather is SO CRAZY. Yesterday was warm and spring-like. Today very windy and cold. At least the sun is out. We are supposed to get some light snow Friday morning -- then middle of next week quite a few days in the high 50's to almost 60!

Hi Jane, Yep, same here. Was in the mid-60s a couple days ago, today 20s and snow (2-4 inches) predicted tonight. We had such a bizarrely mild winter (until January) that the robins apparently NEVER LEFT, which is something that I find very worrying. They've been hanging around the garden; I put out storage apples and they seem to be pecking at them. Local naturalist says robins will eat fruit instead of worms when the ground is frozen, so I guess that's how they've been surviving.

Saw my first GRACKLES yesterday! That's a real sign of spring too...they're my favorite birds. I love their call...sounds like water dripping into a deep well.
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
