I have a couple of them, Indian Giver, and Ruby Spider. They are both great performing plants here in my zone 6a garden. Ruby Spider has a few polys here every year, and you can't miss those huge red blooms. Indian Giver has rebloomed for me, which I don't get a lot of. Both have produced seeds for me.

I have had Malaysian Monarch for a couple of years and it has grown very well in my garden. It has increased from two fans to eight. It blooms late in the season for me and I has not rebloomed.

javaMom,

Here's a little trick I do when I'm wondering if a particular daylily will do well in my garden, more to the point, in my zone. I look it up in ATP database. It shows you how many members own that cultivar. Click there and it will list all the members with their location. I then look to see how many of those members are in or near my zone. If I find many are, then I feel safe purchasing it. If I don't see any from my zone, I will probably put that on my "maybe" list. The good news for you is that many members own most of your choices.

The only one in you list that I own is Indian Giver and it does GREAT for me here in zone 5a. We have no "rust" in our cold climate. You may need to be concerned with rust in your climate. I'm sure others can give better advise on that.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Lavender Blue Baby')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Indian Giver')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Druid's Chant')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Moses' Fire')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Wild Horses')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Ruby Spider')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Bali Watercolor')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Francis of Assisi')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Red Volunteer')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Adamas')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Wispy Rays')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Lies and Lipstick')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Hillbilly Heart')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Malaysian Monarch')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Roman Cohort')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Peggy Jeffcoat')

Thank you Sue, I chose the daylilies from how the flower looks (from all the beautiful photos in ATP), would prefers award winning daylilies, and if there are many photos there, the better.......And hope for the best, I have a few more choices I'm looking at and would like to get you all help later.

Have a good night,

Javamom, Sue is right in her assessment. I grow eleven out of the sixteen mentioned. I have taken chances on evergreen daylilies that have done well here. My first to bloom in 2015 was Endless Heart an evergreen.

I had hillbilly heart but it struggled then died here in Northern KY TWICE. Crying
Lost winter 2013-14
Replaced - single fan
Died winter 14-15

But you are in Texas and it would probably do well there (just not north)
Love what you teach and teach what you love!

Java mom,

Hello! Here are the varieties I have seen in person and like a lot (asterisks mean I own them):

Indian Giver
Moses Fire
*Ruby Spider (one of my top five favorites, hands down)
Bali Watercolor
Francis of Assisi
Red Volunteer
*Peggy Jeffcoat

Francis of Assisi is on my 'want to get in the near future' list.

Roman cohort is a parent to some seeds I just got from a friend here on ATP and is one I am pretty excited about.

For what it's worth, I live in zone 6a/5b.

I can recommend a couple of vendors that would ship daylilies and that have atleast several of the daylilies you are looking at: Miss Becky's daylilies: http://www.missbecky.net and Across the Fence Daylilies (they are on Facebook)

DND, Roman Cohort is one of my favorite. It does well here. I also have Francis Of Assisi. The drawback on FOA as mentioned by other gardener's and my observation is that the flower is not above the foliage most of the time. You know where to find me if you want to trade.

Thank you so much, I would love to trade but I think I have to wait a couple of years, I don't have any daylily that I ordered yet, all that I can dig is Kwanzo that my neighbour gave me and increased greatly... I have obedient plant, ajuga, daisy, that's about it...the hot Summer is not too great sometimes...
