It's PAM TILLIS (thank you James!), and it was a surprise. It's too early for blooms, but our weather was nice and warm today and it was more than half-way open -- and I even took the pollen as soon as I saw it. What fun!

Well, probably not exactly. I only have one other scape out of 800+ plants, and it's a seedling from Subhana Ansari. But hopefully soon! nodding

I don't know if I should be happy or annoyed! I saw a few straggly snowflakes yesterday but things are definitely perking up.

I'm glad it's doing well for you though Betty! The pattern is coming in nicely too!

Yes, I was very pleased with the bloom, even though it really didn't totally open, and I was surprised to see the pattern this early, too. Thanks again, James! Thumbs up

Betty, that one must be a pattern that does not require really hot temps to
show up, as in a more consistent pattern. I would have collected the pollen as well.
It's quite lovely too, even though it did not as yet open fully.

Fun indeed!

Congratulations! How excieting to have blooms so early. Thanks for sharing, it's a beautiful sign that we're almost to bloom season.
