We have many wholesale gardens around where I live as well but I am not sure how to approach them to purchase plants. I always thought you had to buy a truck load of plants or they wouldn’t do business with you...? How do you do it with your wholesale gardens. I can’t afford to purchase from retail gardens. Enough to get my landscaping finished that is.

Well, I'm a landscaper and buy for jobs, but I'm also an enthusiast. If you say you are a designer and want to see what the grower has they'll probably let you look. Ask them if they have a minimum. If you are comfortable with using the term landscape designer and it's not that far off, here at least it's no problem. I've often bought plants for myself.
