For anyone in the area the annual FFA Enterprise High School plant sale will begin on March 29th Tuesday. I always look forward to this, and will especially want to visit this year being I lost most of my seedlings this year. They usually have a very good selection of tomato plants and annuals.
Today was the day for the local high school plant sale, so I headed out hoping to limit my spending to no more than $40.00 and that is exactly what I spent. Here are a few photos I took at the plant sale, and a few of the things I bought.
Here are the plants I brought home with me:
I missed a few indiviual plant photos so I got them all together and had them pose for a couple of group photos:
I did manage to purchase a couple of varieties of tomato plants and some bell peppers, nothing special but they will fill in for some of the plants lost while I was gone.
As far as I know they grew all of them, not positive on that but they certainly have all the facilities for it. Not exactly sure how that is set up, I would think for sure most of the annuals are grown from seed, and the vegetables, don't know about the ferns, hostas, etc. Those facilities you see are all there at the high school, it is not at a commercial growers location.
