What a terrible ordeal! I'm glad you are getting back to normal and I hope this awful weather settles down soon. If your garden was badly damaged, by all means, let us all here at ATP know what you need! I'd be happy to send you whatever you need to replace some of the trees/plants that were damaged. Thanks for your good wishes, Annie. My garden, as it consists mostly of perennials and small shrubs, sustained little damage. Two big lilac bushes lost a few branches, but that's about it. The greatest damage took place in the treed, uncultivated areas surrounding the garden. DH and I started picking up fallen branches yesterday and we have weeks, if not months of work, including chain-sawing and log-piling, ahead of us. One thing I am sure of: I want to replace all the willows on my property with oaks. Every willow lost branches of all sizes, while my one oak tree was totally unscathed.
