This Coleus i started from seed is growing well! It still has its " baby teeth " as I call them....the original petals which are now growing larger too. Are these still necessary for their original photosynthesis purpose or should I pinch /cut then to promote new buds?? Thanks!! Shrug!

Allow the leaves to remain on the plant. If they shrivel and dry, in time, you can remove them but they'd fall off by themselves.

If you want a bushier coleus allow the plant to get three sets of leaves and pinch out the very top leaves.

Jimmy Z,

I completely agree with Pirl. As these are very young plants, do wait until you have 3 leaves before pinching off the top leaves and continue to do so as I have mentioned in my earlier post. Smiling
