I see we only have one cultivar database listing and it's for one named 'Lucerne' Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium 'Lucerne')

If you aren't sure of the particular cultivar name of the plant in your garden, you should probably add your photo(s) to the S. angustifolium entry.

Oops, I may be wrong about that. Maybe your photo should go at the general entry for all Sisyrinchiums? Sisyrinchiums (Sisyrinchium)

Hopefully @zuzu or @Calif_Sue or another database moderator will be able to help.

thank you all for answering..
I posted it...3 pictures
Mine has been so beautiful and just love the color of the bloom
like our blue sky in Alabama...and the way it floats
the bloom and foliage...

I have used at times "repel" for my deer and no problems in any flower beds
buy it at Lowe's in a bottle and I spray only the outer plants of the flower beds
twice a month and if it pours rain ..again..lasts a long time that way..

Sheri, *Blush* I apologize if I added to the confusion. I thought you didn't know the cultivar name but I see now that you've posted your photos to the cultivar named 'Lucerne'. It sure is a beauty!

Sheri, are you certain yours is cultivar 'Lucerne'? Lucerne is described as a more intense blue than the species. If you weren't certain it had a cultivar name then it most likely belongs in the species entry. One can't just look at a photo and try to guess at a cultivar name without knowing for certain.

On Dec 15, 2015 you added this photo. If it's the same plant then I can move your newest images.

I think it is in the right place as our soil can change the color of blooms and conditions..
I will try to find the tag but its bloom is rich and deep blue generally..

Did you ever find the tag with the cultivar name? Just wanted to be certain your images were truly of 'Lucerne'. I asked if the image I copied on my April 2nd post was the same plant that you have now added images to for the Lucerne entry.
If they are the same plant then you can't have your images in both entries.

Before I forget about this again.
Sheri, looking over this whole thread again, in your initial post, you said you could "not figure out the trade name or cultivar".
Lin then posted that she only found one cultivar 'Lucerne'.
I just looked closely at what you wrote that the tag said "Sisyrinchium angustifolium/blue eyed blue note grass"

Did a quick Google search
http://www.monrovia.com/plant-...

I will create a new entry as soon as I find the cultivar name since Blue Note is the trademarked name.

Aha, I missed where Sheri posted about what the tag on her plant said; apparently she has a cultivar named 'Blue Note':

It may be Lin since I can't find any reference of a different cultivar name. With the TM designation, that's often a trade name.
