Really Philip, @glengarry23 although I argued for a more "international" name when they announced the change, and argued again when the change occurred everyone said "well it's still the same site". I was and still am uncomfortable with the "National" designation even though I live in the US. (but I am Canadian)
Dave @dave has firmly said "I'm not changing the name" although I hope at some point the site will simply become known as "Garden.org" and so be felt to be again international and welcoming to everyone.
It is still the same site. The only changes besides the name are for the better - many more members and a lot more information available. It IS still the same site because (most of) the same great people are populating it. When all's said and done it's the people that matter, not a name of a site. You hurt yourself as well as us if you leave.

Wow, such furious posting! I had a time catching up.
Oh, mellielong, the hawk! And others, the pics of the partridge, the warblers and the baby doves.
I finally got the chance to sit in my yard today. I couldn't get a pic of some birds with red orange markings that were eyeballing me, but I did get these frequent feeders:
Here is a first for me. Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. Tiny bird, not much bigger than a hummer. Saw him on April 23, so an April bird! Forgot it was May today. LOL

That gnatcatcher is adorable, Becky! Gorgeous soft colours.

Lovely photos, Becky and Mika. I have those blue-gray gnatcatchers here, too but they stay 'way up high in my huge oak trees, so no chance of a picture. I need shorter trees!
The nuthatches are so cute, something to do with the short tails? Those are terrific shots on the feeder, Mika.
Mostly the "usual suspects" around here, but my gray catbirds that have been around constantly are conspicuously absent the last few days.

Not an April or May shot , but as it is very wet and rainy outside seems somewhat fitting

Elaine - My over-wintering birds seem to have flown the yard for northern breeding areas. My yard is unusually quiet now except for the Bluejays and Cardinals and Doves.

I'm squealing in delight seeing this adorable little peach & blue bird!

Anyone with a photo they want to show off is free to make the May Bird Photo thread! But you should probably announce you're going to do it so we don't end up with multiples. So first one to proclaim it, gets it! FYI, Lin usually does it, but she's a little busy with moving and all...
