Bulb is not doing well, here is how the bulb looks like:

It looks like an Allium

Oh thanks Daisy and Sue! So can this be planted in summer? It is the height of summer there in the Philippines with temps reaching high of 91f and low of about 74F. So I read about allium and said to be planted about 3 inches deep?
I was thinking African Blood Lily (Scadoxus multiflorus) but I don 't know what the bulbs look like. It isn't Allium schubertii as that one has flower stems of significantly different lengths.

Blood Lily was my first thought but look at the arrangement of leaves. Blood Lily leaf arrangement are opposite while Allium is circular.

Hmmm .... I think I see a problem. My Blood Lily does not equal your Blood Lily. It may be Scadoxus multiflorus.
