Well, that way the "color palette " is extended for a longer time....maybe that's one of the reasons Shrug! . And, there are probably other considerations that we don't see, as well......after all, if "very similar to another" is a reason to not introduce.....there wouldn't be nearly as many registered as there are. Maybe the "more ruffles", maybe the "better scent"....if those attributes are what they were working for ? And, it might be as simple as "both of these are nice, and since I can't decide, maybe we'll intro BOTH, and let the public decide" Shrug! !

Could also be "limited quantities" and they thought that they should intro the second cultivar to make up "lost" sales from limited stock of the first one. This works only if the first one is a slow increaser! lol

Any of those reasons are plausible. It just got my curiosity going when I discovered how similar they are! Big Grin

It's official. I'm going up to Superstition tomorrow afternoon to see the medians, arils and any early TBs! Hurray! Hurray! nodding They are already past the peak for the SDB's! I've never been up there to see the medians and arils. I will take as many photos as I can and post them...although I may not get them all posted immediately.

Foolish Act is great Greg! I must have Go Berserka. Both great space age irises. Beautiful.

I had a great day at the garden yesterday. I was also very tired! I don't know how Brad does it. He must have a strong back, all that bending! I'll post photos when I can.
