For mealybugs I just put a spray nozzle on a bottle of rubbing alcohol and spray them noxious suckers. Rolling on the floor laughing No, I do not dilute it.

I have plants growing for the use of bees, butterflies and birds and other pollinators, and include host plants for butterflies. Hopefully my property will be a haven for wildlife, especially butterflies (whose population decrease during my lifetime has been very dramatic and severe). The bees, also are going to be in danger of extinction if we continue to dump dangerous chemicals on plants. No pesticides or herbicides, please!

There are lots of safe insecticides, fungicides, and miticides, Linda. Do some research. I don't think that herbicides have anything to do with beneficial insects (or any insect for that matter).

This thread is over 5 years old and it was about using pesticides inside a greenhouse, a pretty closed environment.

Certainly, a closed environment, Daisy. But the larger issue is that folks think that everything we use to control insects, fungi, and mites is somehow detrimental to our environment and/or to beneficial insects. Nothing could be further from the truth.
