I got 5 daffodils labeled Curly which the picture on the front looked like white outer petals with orange petals inside having an edge that reminded me of morel mushrooms. What I got although nice seems like something else, but the only pictures on here match. Frustrating!

I planted 5 Professor Einstein bulbs in the fall and when they bloomed 4 were yellow and 1 was the correct color. I bought them loose from a bin at what is supposed to be a very good local nursery (not a big box).

I want to try again for this variety, but am feeling a little hesitant. The bulbs were purchased from a good nursery here too. $10.50 or so for 5.

Do you have a picture of what you wanted? I might have something like it around here that I'd be willing to part with.

I haven't seen Curly offered by any vendors I deal with in a few years. There is one in the new Brent and Becky's catalog called Curly Lace that has a similar bloom form, but it is yellow/gold.
