This is the Potinara genus, one of the common ones found in the orchid family. Please add this genus to the data base so that I can enter the Pot. Inspiration 'Coral' orchid.

Potinara is a man-made genus, so it's listed in our database as XPotinara.

Lin, I just realized that almost the entire (perhaps all of them) genus of Potinara has been eliminated and renamed. My plants are now Rlc. Inspiration 'Coral'. Now what do I do? I have already submitted the photo under X-Potinara.

The whole orchid situation is so full of issues. If you mean Rhyncholaeliocattleya when you say Rlc, we do have a few entries under that name, but we probably shouldn't because it's not listed as an accepted genus name in any taxonomic database.

Don't blame me, Zuzu. Sighing! Blame our RHS for these hundreds (thousands?) of name changes the last few years.

Sighing! is right! Let's just leave your picture where it is, Ken, since neither name is a "real" genus.

This is why for the most part, we don't support orchids in our database, with all their unusual naming conventions.
