Waves of Joy is doing very well so far. Velvet Valentine is doing just average. I have two beds that were very messed up and it took awhile to get to them to fix all of the issues (weeds & heaves)

I didn't think I was that interested in Waves of Joy, but those pictures are making me feel otherwise. Velvet Valentine is on my wishlist for sure, maybe I'll get it as a bonus this year Crossing Fingers!

Hope they fix it for you, Lucy. The last thing we need nowadays is more annoyances.
I'm just relieved to get my old page back. Also, I guess I don't have time to read every thread here.
Totally missed Dave's announcement 5 weeks ago about the name change.

Reminder for all you folks in Central California.

Superstition Iris Gardens is having the "Open House" Iris garden event starting this weekend. It all starts FRIDAY the 22nd. There is no difference from going Friday vs going either Saturday or Sunday. Just know the weather will be much nicer on Saturday or Sunday. If you do go Friday, go early as the weather is supposed to get worse as the day goes along. We expect lots of pictures folks.

What if you can't make any of these three days? No problem. Here is the whole schedule:

We are only open for 3 weekends this year: Apr 22-23-24, Apr 29-30-May 1, May 6-7-8. Fri/Sat/Sun 10 AM to 5 PM. This is an early season, so to see best bloom come the first weekend, or the second weekend. Hurray!

OPENING DAY IS TOMORROW, FRIDAY APRIL 22--we WILL open tomorrow, but come early because once the rain starts in earnest in the afternoon, we may close early. If you are within driving distance, it will be MUCH better to come on the dry days of Saturday and Sunday. Why fight rain if you don't have to
smile emoticon
Hope to see many of you this weekend. The field is very near peak bloom time, so there is PLENTY to see, it is an early season.

I was just thinking about that! I had planned to go tomorrow...but I'm really bogged down with things to do here at home...and I have not even finished posting the photos from the last time I was there a month ago!!! So I'll have to see how it goes. I am really enjoying the rain we are getting this afternoon! Only 1/4 inch so far and the sun is beginning to show through the clouds. I need Rob to get the tutu on and start up his rain dance...we need a lot more rain!!! Hilarious!
