Some hostas never quite reach their potential and 'Lakeside Cupcake' is one in that category for me. I grew it from spring 2007 through last autumn. Some years it would look OK and other years, the size of the leaves would be all out of proportion to the size of the plant. It never really thrilled me. So last autumn, it got divided, a couple of small divisions sold off to benefit my hort. society and one saved for a friend. It's a hybrid of a streaked seedling and a blue seedling and a small plant with heavy substance. A wide blue green border contrasts the white centre. Round leaves are lightly cupped. Supposed to be a moderate increaser, but I found it slow. Please feel free to share your pictures of this hosta.

2016 update - Sept 14. I no longer have this one but it took me all summer to get the last division to a friend. It looked better growing in the pot than it every did in my garden.
