What gardener doesn't like to recycle everything they can? Gather a few leaves, pick up some weather worn mulch or bark from fallen branches, and use an empty container for a rainy afternoon project. Imagination is the prime ingredient for this project.

I was just looking for an idea to make fairy houses and I never would have thought of detergent containers, but they really are perfect-- great shape, and built in chimney. And I have lots of pine cones to use for the roof or siding or something, depending on what method I can figure out to attach them. You made this project much easier!

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.

I'm glad you could use some of the suggestions. I did have a difficult time with the hot glue on my first one since the heat here gets so intense. The high heat hot glue seems to work the best for me and placing it in a protected area also helps.
