Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve is located in western Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, adjacent to the Susquehanna River south of Safe Harbor. Wildflowers are easily viewed from a wide, level trail located on a hillside overlooking a meandering stream. On April 16, 2016, six species of wildflowers abounded:

Just one week before my visit on April 16, 2016, Shenks Ferry Wildflower Preserve was covered with snow, hopefully the last snow we will see this season!
