Here are photos of a few strains of Japanese morning glory I am hoping will do magnificent things this summer.

The recessive form could look like this. It is sterile. I think the babies will look like the seedparent because the cotyledons are flat and normal looking. The cotyledons of the mutant probably would have curly gnarly cotyledons.

Now do you guys fertilize at all?

I have my small plants from seed just starting to vine now (started seeds late)
I've heard that prefer average soil.

Also, do you prune to encourage any more blooms opposed to foliage?

Ipomoea nil 'Narumigata' made many flowers today. The lavender is attractive in combination with the yellow leaves.
