Hi this has leaves that look like small papaya plant sends up little inflos with very small white flowers. Butterflys love this!

Chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius)

It's also called Spinach Tree, because when it's cooked properly, it can substitute for dark leafy vegetable in tropical zones. Can be poisonous if not cooked correctly!
Host plant for Zebra butterfly.

Hi thank you for this i think I,ll pass on eating it. I have pic's from last year swallowtails all over it. Bought it from a older woman that sells plants from her home. To start with thought it was papaya. She did not know got a piece from her sister lol

It will become a small tree. I have to cut mine back each winter. It will easily root from small cuttings.
As for the poison, you just need to boil the cyanide out of it! Whistling And don't use an aluminum pot to cook it in.
