Yep, that's my yard too!! Hate them spinners because then I have to try and catch all the trees before they get too big to pull!! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Well that .... I was hoping that the seeds I got in my yard were from the sycamore across the road. I don't think I've seen a maple but it's all wooded over there. I've lived here 23 yrs and have never had these seeds before. I just potted up several so we'll see.

it is a yearly ritual for me , cleaning out the beds and gutters before they clog the down spouts.

I'm looking forward to seeing what I have. I do have a Florida maple in my yard but these seeds came from across the road. It's also an adventure to see what the squirrels plant every year too. Glare

@kroba Kurt we have a unanimous decision. Maple not sycamore. I got to looking closely at the trees across the road, the sycamore has a maple right next to it. I will keep a few seedlings and fill in some holes when they get larger. Shrug!

I just cleaned my gutters out yesterday only thing left to do this year is pull up any shoots that come up in my garden beds.

they usually don't get to sprout in my gutter but it has been a very wet spring.

Kurt now if you were intending to grow maples not the first one would have sprouted. You sure have a mess of 'em.

my neighbor has 3 that is enough for me ,
mom did just get a couple japenese red maple seedlings, but they are pretty small and should not be a problem anytime soon.

I tried growing some stuff about 50 ft from a huge silver maple and concluded that it was impossible. We eventually had to cut the tree. It rooted into the neighbors garage floor and buckled the concrete so that water came up into the room. It was half her tree and half mine, so I told her one day that I was going to cut my half down, did she want us to leave her half or cut that too? Rolling on the floor laughing
