At a local nursery and they had one labeled Peonia Pacifica. A quick search on my phone didn't bring up any results. Anyone here know of it?

I will, LG--good idea. This is the pic they showed me in the nursery. If this really is it I think I'll be happy.

Many registered peonies are listed on the Peony Project here:

It's not listed there, Tracey. I looked there while I was still in the nursery. I had them look it up from the seller and they'd used the pic I shared in the above post. When I saw the colors of the blooms I went back and got a 2nd. Both have buds that should open, it'll be interesting to see what I end up with. It's just weird to have one that I can't find any real info on....

Depending on where it originated, it may either be identical to something registered (renamed by the Dutch or another party, to improve selling value) or from a source that does not register its peonies.

The next time I'm in that nursery I'll try to find out where the seller is sending from and track it down that way. When they bloom they could easily be just another pink, white or red peony that is practically indistinguishable from any other without a reputable seller tag, would be really nice if they bloomed like the pic, though!

I don't think so, LG, here's their website just in case, though http://www.tagawagardens.com/h... I'm not sure if it'll actually bloom like that but I'll let you know. I got two, we can certainly set up a trade in the future if it blooms like the pic and you don't find it elsewhere!

Hi I was wondering the same as Liz- just came across this at the nursery where I work in Seattle. Descriptions online say pink with some red, but the picture says peach! Will let you know what it looks like when it blooms.

Peony Garden says it's a hybrid tree http://www.peonygarden.com.au/... and Oregon Perennial Company has over 2,000 for sale. That's a lot of trees? Blinking https://www.google.com/url?sa=...

This one is definitely not a tree peony, just a herbaceous. I'll post a pic when it opens. It was the least expensive peony they had at that garden center so I'm prepared to be underwhelmed but hope for the opposite!

Well, I do not know much about it but it looks beautiful, Liz! If it is offered here, I am sure I would buy one.
