Since then they have been smelling in the cracks of our lower deck by the shop....hope there isn't a coon or possum under there!

Oooh! I think those might be deck rats they're smelling. Our DD's dog started doing that around their huge deck, and they couldn't put out poison because of the dog. Had to have pest control company come out and put out locked "boxes" with poison in them for the rats. The pest co. had to come back to refill the traps a lot!
